From time to time I amass a collection of announcements and links that I think would be helpful to you.  I think that you will find some value in the following information.

Announcements

  • Rachel Padgett Going Away Party – Rachel Padget is moving to SC.  Tomorrow, (Saturday, Oct. 18th), there will a going away party for her at the home of Jesse & Lauren Padget – 1822 4th Court SE, Winter Haven, FL  33880 (see map).  Drop in anytime between 5pm and 8pm.
  • FBC Fall Festival – Our Annual Fall Festival is coming up on Saturday, October 25th, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  There will be trunk or treat, fun-flatables, food, & games.  Don’t miss it!
  • Support FBC by shopping at CBD – I am excited to announce that we are now setup as an affiliate for CBD (Christian Book Distributors).  Much like other affiliate links, if you get to CBD through our link we will earn a commission on anything you purchase.  You can access the link on our home page under the Support FBC menu.  This link will also work as well.  Once you get to CBD you will not see anything at all about FBC, but our ‘FBC ninjas’ will be working behind the scenes to tell CBD that we sent them a customer.
  • Faithful Servant Awards – It is time to submit your nominations for our Annual Faithful Servant Awards.  These awards will be presented at our Worker Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, January 17, 2015.  Learn more and submit your nominations online at our website.

Links

  • How an App Revitalized My Prayer Life – Read how an App has revitalized Tim Challies’ prayer life.  I have just begun to use this App and can see how it will prove helpful once I get it more setup.
  • Novels Every Christian Should Consider Reading – Justin Taylor has finished a series of interview posts where individuals shared recommended novels.  As one who does not read many novels, I found this list helpful in pointing me to novels that I, as a Christian, should read.
  • Halloween Events & Autumn Festivals in Polk County – If you live in Polk County, this helpful list provides information and links to numerous Fall events around the county.  Very helpful!
  • Tips for New Students – David Murray has published a helpful series of post for students.  It deals with many helpful tools for students (Dropbox, Evernote, Calendar, Feedly, etc) and helpful topics (Note-taking, Time Management, Memorizing, etc.).  I’ve linked to Tip #13: Money Management because it includes a directory of all the posts at the end.

 What about you?

Leave a comment below with an announcement or link that you would like to share.

Have a great Friday!

Stephen
